He was born on 11 August 1965.

In 1986, he graduated from the Borisoglebsk Air Force Academy named after Valery Chkalov. During his service in the Air Force he flew L-29, MiG-21, MiG-29 and Su-27 aircraft. The total time flown by him on these types of aircraft is 1,250 hours. Rated as a 1st Class Military Pilot. He has been flying aerobatics since 1992.
Married. Has a son. Likes to be with his family at leisure. His hobby is motoring.
